Macadamia Natural Oil review and pictures

I’m finally getting back into regularly deep conditioning my hair like I should have been doing.  I can’t do it as much as I would like to because my hair is fine and over conditioning can weigh it down.  Dealing with hair is constant balancing act.  It’s the story of my life.  I was super excited to try a sample of Macadamia Natural Oil “Deep Repair Masque” since I hadn’t been deep conditioning much lately; it gave me a chance to really test it out and push it to the limit. Macadamia Deep Repair Masque is a revitalizing hair reconstructor for dry, damaged hair. A combination of macadamia oil and argan oil along with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts rejuvenate and rebuild the hair, leaving the hair deeply nourished for improved elasticity and shine with long-lasting conditioning benefits. Prior to using the “Deep Repair Masque” I shampooed once with Cantu Moisturizing Cream Shampoo (which I absolutely love).  At first sight I didn’t think the 1 oz. sample would be enough for my hair.  It ended up being a little bit too much, yet not to the point where I could have used half the pack.  The slip was great and I was able to detangle my hair without any issues and once I rinse it my hair felt soft and my scalp felt nice too.  Now, even though I have the Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment and the directions said I can add a pump or two to enhance the deep condition treatment I opted not to use it.  I wanted to see how it would work alone.  If it works fine alone I don’t want to unnecessarily use the Healing Oil.  And guess what happened?  The “Deep Repair Masque” worked just fine.  As much as I love it I don’t think it’ll be moisturizing enough for ladies that are prone to dry hair.  I should have been using this one all summerL.  It deep conditions but its light on moisturizers.  This is going to work great for some and not as well for others.  A large 8.5 oz. jar retails for $28.00.  Depending on hair length and thickness, as well as use, expect about 6-10 uses out of it.  The good news is that you can purchase a sample for $4.00 at MacadamiaHair.com.     Macadamia Natural Oil “Healing Oil Treatment” If only you could see the giddy smile on my face right now!  I love oils.  I simply can’t get enough of them!  I’ve seen Macadamia Natural Oil “Healing Oil Treatment” around for a while now and couldn’t wait to try it. Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment is a therapeutic oil perfect for all hair types and is especially beneficial to dry, damaged hair. The Healing Oil Treatment is instantly absorbed, weightlessly infusing the hair with moisture and nutrients for silky smooth, healthy looking hair while providing natural UV protection from photo and sun damage. Dry, brittle hair is miraculously rejuvenated with increased shine and control. As soon as I got it wanted to smell it because I was so curious about the fragrance. I didn’t really know what to expect. I love it!  It’s perfect for fall too. It’s also unisex, which comes in handy if you hair products with the entire family like I end up doing.  I can only describe it as being pleasantly earthy and muscularly floral.  It fades away nicely but I could still smell a hint of it the following night.  The texture was that same as most oils, not too thick or too thin.  What surprised me the most was how fast it absorbed into my hair.  I almost thought my hair was dry, but I knew it wasn’t.  This oil is light but packs a big punch.  I wouldn’t mind using this on my install (weaves) next month.  As good as it made my hair feel it wasn’t as shiny as I expected.  I don’t mean that in a bad way either.  Sometimes oils tend to just sit on top of the hair and make it look greasy and I didn’t get that with this oil.  It was simply a light sheen. People were able to touch my hair without me fearing the dreaded oily residue afterwards.  I also think girls that use heat on their hair will benefit from this the most.  It’s also protects from photo and sun damage.  That’s important to me because I color my hair jet black with henna and indigo.  Now normally I don’t care for dispensing pumps on bottles that contain oil (especially for hair) but in this case it worked because it’s not a heavy oil.  I think the biggest concern for most women will be the price point.  $36.00 for a 4.2 oz bottle isn’t cheap but it’s not the highest either.  It’s cheaper per ounce than Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment, which is $37 for 3.7 oz.  I still feel that it’s a winner and can’t wait to try it with more heat incorporated in my routine.   Macadamia Natural Oil “Healing Oil Infused Comb” Oil infused combs are fairly new…well to me they are.  The idea makes a lot of sense if you wear your hair in straight styles.  Most women that wear straight hair styles keep a comb or even a brush around a lot of the time.  When I wear weaves and keep a straight style I would also carry round a bottle of hair serum.  I don’t recommend anyone keeping a bottle of oil or serum in their bag at all.  Oil is sneaky and can leak.  This comb tackles the need of having to carry around additional products. The Macadamia Oil Treatment™ Comb is made using an innovative new process that allows us to blend our Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment directly with a specially formulated resin. The end result is a unique detangling comb that is infused throughout with our special oil. I tested this product on my hair while it was freshly blow dried without using any oils or heat protectors.  A serious no-no but it was on low heat and I only use heat twice a year at most.  I really wanted to see if this comb would deliver on its promise.  I combed a large section of my hair using the “Healing Oil Infused Comb” and felt a noticeable difference.  The sheen was minimal but I really like this comb.  The price point is nice too.  It’s only $12 but I’ve seen it as low as $10.  Sadly, I can’t tell you all how long this comb will keep transferring oil but the comb is sure to last.       Disclaimer: This product(s)was sent to the author for review by the manufacturer/PR.
