Calacas means skeleton in Spanish, and this colourful green jelly will get you squeaky clean – no bones about it. The energizing scent of lime and neroli perks you up and gets you moving, while the aloe vera gel gently softens skin. Especially good frozen, they make for a sharp shock in the morning for all you lazy bones!
After resisting the urge to eat the Calacas Shower Jelly, I was able to fully indulge in its greatness. The first time I used it I took it straight from the freezer and pinched a nice sized piece off and used it in my body puff. I loved the way it lathered up and i was still intrigued by the scent. The neroli is overpowered by the clean refreshing lime. After rinsing, my skin actually felt good it was almost like I already applied a shower lotion. I then used it to wash my sister’s hair she also was intrigued by the scent and it left her hair feeling soft and clean. But I still followed up with her usual conditioner. The only con about the shower jelly is the fact it is a jelly and its kind of hard to handle I dropped the soap more than once no pun intended. Available: Limited edition during the Halloween season at Lush.com and Lush retail stores, but for some odd reason I can’t locate it on the site nor do I see it listed. Price: $4.95 (2.1oz) Written by A.G. (our local LGBT community beauty and stye contributor)
