Cleanse:  No woman (or fella) should be without a sulfate-free shampoo!  Mixed Chicks Sulfate-Free Shampoo ($17.99/ 10oz) is wonderful to keep on-hand.  It’s simply universally friendly and it works.  I rely on sulfate-free shampoos for many reasons; I have a sensitive scalp so sulfates don’t fair too well with me.  I also love experimenting with hair color so a color safe shampoo is always a necessity.  I also want to have shampoos in my home that I can use as well as my Caucasian friends and other friends with various hair types.   Right now I’m wearing a partial weave with half my natural hair pinned back at the top and hair extension for the other have, so I used these products on both.  I love that this shampoo got my hair and scalp clean without stripping my hair during the first round. I think if I would have done a second wash like I typically do it would have been stripping.  It gets the job done! Condition:  I went with the Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner ($13.99/ 8oz) because I needed something that can handle both hair types.  I needed to make sure it can detangle my natural hair (which is did wonderfully because it has great slip) and also my hair extensions because they’re kind of long.  I ended up loving this deep conditioner a lot more on my extensions than my natural hair. The consistency is thick so it makes it easy to comb through but it’s super light so it can be used often and it doesn’t weigh down the hair.  Death to heavy hair!  Your hair should be blowing in the wind and full of life.  My only gripe with this conditioner it doesn’t say how long to let it sit…so I just wing it and although it is condition and hydrating, it wasn’t moisturizing.  The fragrance of both Mixed Chicks products were clean and slightly sweet and remained on the hair after washing.  It’s pretty dreamy Style:  Yes!  My oldie but goodie Kinky-Curly Knot Today Conditioner/ Leave-in ($11.99/ 8oz).  No matter what, this product has always been a staple of mine, I really love it when I’m traveling because I can use it as a leave-in or rinse-out conditioner without adding another bottle to the bunch.  It just feels nice and light and binds my curls to define them without making them look frizzy or fluffy.  I’m also hooked on the how shiny it leaves my hair and non-overwhelming tropical scent.
